WiFi mobile phones are those that allow two devices to exchange data wirelessly. The word Wi-Fi stands for wireless fidelity. A lot of mobile phones these days offer the Wi-Fi facility, infact all the mid-range phones are expected to have this feature.
A Wi-Fi enabled device like a video game console, smartphone, tablet, personal computer have the ability to use the network resources and connect to the internet wirelessly. It has an access point that is also called as the Hot Spot, which gives a range of around 20 meters indoors and a greater range outdoors within which you can access the internet without having any physical connection with the modem.
Today Wi-Fi is a not a luxury but an expected per-requisites in smartphones. Wi-Fi has made many features quite practical in the recent times like accessing the social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc. Wi-Fi enables the user to have a cheaper or a more economical usage of LAN (local area network).
