The Samsung's new upbringing, Samsung Wave M S7250 which is worth a mention. The device is filled with features that a smartphone should possess. The new Samsung Wave M S7250 is powered with Bada operating system version 2.0 and runs on a commanding processor of 832 MHz with accelerometer and proximity sensors. The screen size of this Smartphone is 3.65 inches, which is TFT capacitive touch screen display and has a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The touch Wiz user interface is just smooth and lets you slide through features without any trouble. The internal memory space of 150 MB is provided in the Smartphone, which could be further expanded up to 32 GB via MicroSD card slot. It is very important for a phone to have an expandable card slot, so that user can store lots of data such as images and videos into the phone. And Samsung Mobiles adding a microSD card slot in the phone has got thumbs up from us in memory part.

Even the camera department of Samsung Wave M S7250 is impressive. The company knows how crucial it is to provide a good camera in today’s smartphones. Therefore, this smartphone comes with 5 megapixels of rear camera with facilities like LED flash, smile detection and geo-tagging. The phone also sports a secondary VGA camera that would make it easy for the users to snap self images and do video calls with comfort and ease. Moving on to the connectivity features, Samsung Wave M S7250 has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and GPRS/EDGE connectivity. These features make sure that users have no issues while browsing the internet. The presence of HTML browser further enhances the entire experience of internet browsing. In the nutshell, Samsung Wave M S7250 is a complete Smartphone, but if Samsung Mobiles would have worked a bit more on the processor, the mobile experience could have been much more amplified.

Samsung Mobiles to an extent has been quite successful to become a leader in the Indian Mobile market. Earlier the mobile industry in the country was dominated by only Nokia Mobiles, but it looks like Samsung has been working very hard and climbing the ladder of success very quickly and swiftly. After launching winning Android phones, such as Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Galaxy Ace etc, it has been busy to promote its in-house OS, Bada OS.

Overall Review

Samsung Wave M is not what you would call a replacement for Samsung Wave 723 but can be described as a mid-low range device which has specs a notch higher than Samsung Wave Y. The device has a metallic look from the outside but is actually made up of plastic and has a sliipery feel to it. The device has a 5 megapixel camera on the back of the device powered with a LED flash along with a secondary camera on the front of the device. Volume button is on the left side of the device while the power and lock but button is on the right. The 3.65 screen which has a below average pixel density meaning that the visibility is not at its best in the sunlight. The device is pretty heavy and weighs 121 grams. The internal memory is although of 150 MB only but a 2 GB microSD card comes included in the device. A microSD card slot for memory expansion is also provided. Multimedia features are strong with a music player and a video player where the music player's sound quality is pretty good with the Digital Natural Sound Engine technology. Battery is good in terms of standby time and talk time but may consume a lot of power when it comes to using multimedia features. Data connectivity features are plenty where Internet facilities are heaviliy backed by the Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot. The user can also open multiple tabs with relative ease and comfort and a little bit of lag if opened with music player or a video player. The device overall seems to be good although camera quality could improve.

User Interface and UI functionality

Samsung Wave M comes with a 3.65 inch screen which is a pretty healthy size for a device of this price range. The TFT capacitive touchscreen works at a resolution of 320 by 480 pixels along with a pixel density of 158 ppi. The stats are pretty evident that the display quality is not the best and would be even more difficult in the sunlight.

Multimedia features

Samsung Wave M has a music player with a decent sound quality allowing the user to listen to his or her favourite musical tracks that can be head through the loudspeakers or through the earphones that can be attached to the device with the help of a 3.5 mm jack. The video player is also provided that allows the user to watch videos in the formats MP4, DivX, H.263 and H.264 player while the music player is compatible with MP3, WAV and eAAC+ player. There is also a stereo FM radio with RDS technology that lets the user record songs whenever he or she pleases to do so.

Samsung Wave M has a 5 megapixel camera which is really below expectations although gives a resolution of 2592 by 1944 pixels. The camera offers a bunch of other features like the auto focus, LED flash, smile detection and geo-tagging facility.
