Samsung Galaxy Y is a 3G smartphone defined for young people and promises Android experience at an affordable price. Prior to this, Samsung Galaxy Y and Samsung Galaxy Y Pro had similar target market of youngsters. The letter Y in the model name refers to the word “Young”. Samsung embeds the latest Android OS, version 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) with 832 MHz processor in the new phone Samsung Galaxy Y.

Featuring 832MHz ARMv6 processor the Galaxy Y S5360 from Samsung runs on both 2G and 3G network. Samsung has designed its new product keeping the youth in mind. The sophisticated design adds glory to its looks. It also has good entertainment and multimedia functionality like Multi format music player, FM Radio, which further add to its charm. The new mobile phone sports 3 inch touchscreen display with the screen resolution of 240x320 pixels.

Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 sports a 3.0 inches TFT capacitive touch screen of QVGA resolution. The screen is capable of displaying the stuff in 256K colors at a fine resolution of 240x320 pixels.
