Samsung Galaxy Tab 620 is the entry level tablet in the Galaxy series by Samsung and is one of the sleekest models amongst its siblings. In terms of design, there is not so much variation as compared to the previous tablets but it has a glossy look with rounded edges to provide comfort while holding the device. This device runs on the platform of Android which allows the user to have access to more than 2,00,000 applications that Google provides to its users. The powerful processor makes the tablet to do processing faster and quicker and thus brings the functions of a laptop or computer to this device. With the customizable UI, the user can manage the widgets and icons as per the set priorities so that they can be used with a single press of button. The task manager allows the user to access device settings, brightness settings and connectivity options and Samsung kies application permits the user to synchronize the device with PC or laptop to have smooth transfer of data with fastest speed. The device is running on Android v.3.2 Honeycomb and is powered by 1.2 GHz Dual core processor with Exynos 4210 chipset and Mali-400 MP GPU for best graphic performance along with Samsung TouchWiz UX UI for smoother transitions. This tablet supports various aural and video formats to provide entertainment to the user along with a 3.5 mm headphone socket to allow the user to attach the device with speakers or woofers for better sound output. There is a 3 MP camera primary camera with auto focusing that provides a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and can capture videos also and the secondary front facing 2 MP camera permits the user to have live video calling. For connectivity, Galaxy Tab 620 provides options such as EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi, WLAN, DLNA, Bluetooth and USB and HDMI ports. There is no space for external memory but it has an internal memory of 16/32 GB with 1 GB RAM and the Li-Ion 4,000 mAh battery provides talktime up to 20 hours on 3G and 1000 hours of standby time. Samsung Galaxy Tab 620 is one of the cheapest tablets under the Galaxy range by Samsung which also claims to be one of the sleekest devices amongst the family of Tab 750, Tab 730 and Tab 680. The advantages of the compact design are that it weighs just 345 grams, has a better battery backup, and feels more comfortable and portable while using it, although the design is not very much different from its predecessors, but the tablet has a clean and elegant look, giving credit to the good quality glossy plastic. The edges are round, the sides have graceful slopes and are framed with thin aluminum to cover the screen.
