Overall Review
Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the first Smartphone to use the Android Ice cream sandwich operating system, which makes us reminisce the time before the arrival of Android. Samsung was not the market leader and Nokia was ruling the roost but the things changed pretty dramatically with the arrival of Android and Samsung blasted out as the market leader. Samsung Galaxy Nexus is another example of the kind of products Samsung has to offer. As far as the dimensions of the device is concerned, it has a length of 135.5mm, a breadth of 67.9mm and a height of 8.9mm and weighs 135 grams. Its big 4.65 inch screen is super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and offers a healthy resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels. Pixel density is also pretty impressive with 316ppi, which means a richer appearance. A RAM of 1GB is backed by an internal storage capacity of 16GB, which means that the user can store loads of data. But with such a large internal memory, the downside is that the user cannot have more of it as there is no microSD card slot. There is a plethora of Internet facilities including Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot which means that the user can access the web with comfort and ease.
Multiple tabs can be opened with minimum time lag including Facebook and Twitter along with YouTube. Multimedia features include music player, video player but there is no Radio FM which is a drawback with the device although a minor one. A 5 megapixels camera is accommodated with the device which allows the user to click pictures at a resolution of 2592 by 1944 pixels and offers lots of features including LED flash, touch focus and Geo-tagging. Videos can also be shot at a resolution of 1080 pixels while the 1.3 megapixel secondary camera lets the user video chat. The Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system can be upgraded to Jelly Bean, which is great addition to the device. As far as the hardware is concerned, the device is backed by the Dual-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A9 processor along with the standard lithium ion battery of 1,750 mAh, which allows the user to access the device for longer hours without being interrupted. The device is available in the colors of black and white.

Internal and External Memory
Samsung Galaxy Nexus has a whopping internal memory of 16GB, which allows the user to store loads of data including songs, games, images and videos but there unfortunately there is no provision for a microSD card slot so external memory cannot be expanded any further. The RAM is 1GB, which means that the user can access the resources of the system at a faster pace.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus when compared to Samsung Galaxy SII has a higher pixel density with the former offering 316ppi as compared to the latter's 217ppi. The screen size offered by Samsung Galaxy Nexus is also larger with 4.65 inches as compared to the Samsung Galaxy SII's 4.3 inches. There is a built in radio FM with Samsung Galaxy SII which the Samsung Galaxy Nexus does not provide.
News Updates
Samsung Galaxy Nexus released in the year 2011 and has been very successful since its release. The device was one of a kind when it was released and it still is pretty competitive in terms of its features and specs. Another update that should really boost its sales and make its consumers happy is the Ubuntu update it is all set to get. This should be an interesting upgrade that may give the device an edge over other gadgets.
