Samsung has come up the ranks over the years through sheer hard work and great marketing strategy and they are in no mood to let that position go. Samsung Galaxy Ace was a very successful device even though it has had its share fair of criticism and the company sensed the need of the hour and introduced a dual SIM version of it. The same again got a lot of flak for scaling down the features like camera but the company has now sought out those problems and have introduced a improved version of it.

Inarguably, even from a distance you can figure out a smartphone that reads Samsung on the front. The Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos falls under the special category of being the first dual SIM mobile from Samsung in India, though lookswise you can attribute the appearance to take after the Samsung Galaxy Ace we are more used to.
 
The candybar form factor devoid of any physical buttons to claim for, except for may be the menu button in the center to handle all the core functionalities of the phone, is the first impression of the Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos. The 3.5” large capacitive touch screen with a screen resolution of 320x480 p is covered by the toughened Gorilla Glass Display which refuses to give in to the pressure exerted on it under normal conditions at home or at work and willingly absorbs the pouncing once or twice due to its strong built.
 
Features wise you cannot set the Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos and its older twin Samsung Galaxy Ace apart which carry a little too much in common right from the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS to the TouchWiz UI even to the 5 MP camera with 2592x1944 p resolution, the smartphones carry on the rear to capture only those moments worth capturing dismissing the rest while taking the stills. The HD recording feature of the camera however, takes into account every slightest detail for those who like to recount every second of the moments spent together at a later time. Just like its twin, the Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos is not devoid of the front VGA camera to enable the long video chats, which have become more of a necessity of late to touchbase with friends who find video chatting a better option than staying completely out of touch.
 
But, the difference when it did come is huge to put the latest Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos in a different league altogether endowed with an additional radio with CDMA 3.1 mbps speeds over the GSM to carry out the dual SIM functionalities unabashedly. Battery is another essential feature that needs to be upgraded when dual SIM functionalities of a mobile is in question. This is another touch of thoughtfulness from Samsung offering the phone with a 1650 mAh battery replacing the 1350 mAh in its twin, although the dual SIM technology tend to dissipate larger share of battery power than anticipated mostly due to its dual mode functionality offering just 4 hrs talktime instead of 6 hrs 30 min as observed in the older model. Extra time is not just a luxury, but a neccessity while handling the dual SIM functionalities in Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos, which is why the latest Samsung mobile is endowed with a slight upgrade in the processor from 800 Mhz to 832 Mhz in the newer version.
