Nokia Asha 305 is a newly introduced smartphone in the all-new Nokia Asha series. It is a keypad free phone and is available with a 3-inch resist touch screen display offering 56k colors with an amazing picture quality resolution of 240x400 pixels. It is light-weight phone of approx 98g. Nokia Asha 305 is palm sized 110.3 mm x 53.8 mm x 12.8 mm easy to carry phone. This smartphone has an easy swap dual SIM capability, and runs on a Linux based operating system with a 1 GHz processor. With a loudspeaker and a 3.5 mm jack, Nokia Asha 305 provides GPRS/EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth (v2.1) that supports EDR profile and a microUSB port v2.0. It has a 2megapixel camera with 1600x1200 pixels quality and a pretty exceptional video recording working @ 10 fps.
It offers a data storage capacity upto 32GB with help of a microSD card with 32 MB RAM, 64 MB ROM and 10 MB internal memories. Its screen is powered by a sensor known as accelerometer sensor. Nokia Asha 305 provides facilities of SMS, MMS, email, IM with the HTML browser. It even offers a remarkable internet browsing and direct connectivity to Nokia web browser. In addition to all these features, Asha 305 is also featured with a number of multimedia features like stereo, radio and MP3 player. The phone is available in 4 colors: red, dark grey, mid blue and silver white. Along with all these, it has SNS integration, voice memo, organizer and predictive text input for the ease of the users.

Nokia Asha 305 is a budgeted mobile phone that is running on Nokia Series 40 platform and is manufactured by the Finnish handset maker, Nokia. The Asha series by Nokia is specially made for Asian market as it is a potential market of middle and low priced phones. It carries a candy bar touch form factor and is free from any physical keypad. This is the first handset, along with Nokia Asha 311 and Nokia Asha 306, in the Asha series that has full touchscreen. The phones in the Asha Series are well doing in the market and this phone is going to increase the contribution of Nokia handsets in the market. This is a basic feature phone that gives access to many of those applications and features, which are available in many of the smartphones. Nokia Asha 305 is an easy swappable dual SIM feature phone that makes the usage of two networks full of fun and adventure. The users do not have to take load of changing the SIMs as with a single click they can easily toggle between the networks.
The pre-installed Nokia browser enable users to spend more time with it without spending much money over it. Nokia Asha 305 claims to be a better multimedia set as compared to its other siblings in the Asha series. The built-in speakers in the device are of good quality and delivers standard sound output. The phone has support for FM radio with RDS technology that automatically updates the name of the radio station to which the users are tuned into. The availability of 3.5 mm headphone works as an antenna to catch the signals for different radio stations and one can also attach speakers and woofers to the device as this 3.5 mm jack also acts as an A/V connector. The default music player provides various features like selection by artist, composers, album and genre, album graphics display and playlists, so users can synchronize their music library according to their choice. This camera capture images with a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels has fixed focus nature. The focal length of the camera is 3.6 mm and the minimum focus range of the camera is 100 cm. The camera has 2.8 focal number/aperture and is loaded with features such as self timer, still image editor, exposure compensation, full screen viewfinder, auto and manual white balance, video recorder and landscape orientation. The images taken from this 2 MP fixed foucs sensor are saved in JPEG/Exif image format whereas many graphics formats such as GIF89a, BMP, GIF87a, WBMP, EXIF, PNG, DCF and JPEG are also supported by this feature phone for image display. Nokia Asha 305 comes pre-loaded with various web browsers like XHTML over TCP/IP, WAP 2.0, HTML over TCP/IP, XHTML over WAP, Series 40 OSS Browser and XHTML that delivers very fast browsing experience to users and open web pages without taking so much of time. Miscellaneous Internet connecting options available on this device are EDGE and GPRS only and no Wi-Fi or HSPA connectivity is supportable on Nokia Asha 305. For local connectivity it provides support to Bluetooth v.2.1 with EDR and microUSB v.2.0. Since it is a simple basic phone so one cannot expect much out of the box.

Nokia Asha 305 holds an internal storage capacity of 10 MB with 64 MB for ROM and 32 MB for RAM and this memory is capable of storing up to 1000 phone book entries and call records along with messages. The users can also expand the external memory up to 32 GB with the help of a microSD card slot.
