Nokia 7020 Review

The buyers who have no pre-conceived notions for their mobile phone can definitely put their hands on Nokia 7020. This is a flip phone model which lacks an exclusive design and an endearing specs sheet. Yet, the Nokia 7020, an entry-level device from Nokia offered in some funky colors is there to stay. It is offering some average specs but at least it is offering a wide range of privileges. This is a world phone that can keep the users connected with support for EDGE network connection. The device runs on rather dry and old S40 version of Symbian operating system and hosts a 2.2 inch wide display screen. Flipping the phone open reveals this inner screen that displays 256K colors despite of being so petty.

Nokia 7020 flip phone comes with a 2-megapixel camera and a music player. The integrated music player supports popular music formats like MP3, AAC, Midi and WMA. In addition to the music player, there is a built-in stereo FM radio with RDS function. There is 45 MB of internal memory and a microSD card slot that can let users increase this capacity to up to 16 GB, if needed. The 2-megapixels camera with a dedicated capture key has different camera settings and can take stills, a sequence of pictures and even a self-portrait with the timer. With help of its 4 x digital zoom and resolution power of 1600 x 1200 pixels, the produced picture quality is fairly good. Nokia 7020 doubles as a video recorder capturing videos at 30 frames per second.

In addition to the standard phone applications, the Nokia 7020 has a few value added features. There is a voice command feature, GPS with Nokia Maps, Bluetooth, a personal organizer, messaging, e-mail and a wireless Web browser. The Nokia Maps Application ensure that users can easily navigate around anywhere in the world. The basic messaging application feels great when enhanced with Instant Messaging, E-mail and Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging features and these all are there in this phone.

The 7020 also features an English-Chinese dictionary. Internet connectivity is via GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE and one can share data wirelessly with help of Bluetooth technology. The Nokia 7020 is a “perfect pocket fit" handset in clamshell design. It’s compact, portable and stylish, and manages to embed enough features to satisfy the byers need. The Nokia 7020 is not conventional or fashionable but lightweight and easy to carry around kind of stuff. It has enough features to be considered an all-rounder.
