Nokia 603 Review
A Nokia phone with a touchscreen. Being a people's phone, it always gives an immense satisfaction to talk about a Nokia mobile and this time is no different. And the Nokia 603 is not just any feature phone, but a smartphone with an 1 GHz processor ticking under the hood. This Nokia mobile is another one of the Symbian Belle operated mobiles to see some effortless multi-tasking. It is fully capable of downloading an application on one hand on a strong Wi-Fi and HSDPA speeds, leaving enough scope for you to view the photos or snapping a picture without compromising on the speeds.
Available in both black and white colors, the white colored Nokia 603 is prone to attract more dust and smudges, but looks far more attractive than the regular black. However, you have numerous options for the back cover color including, black, white , green, fuschia, yellow and blue. But, check out which color suits the best with the front panel before you make your choice. Neither too big, nor too small, the Nokia 603 is just about the right size and perfect to be held in-hand measuring 113.5 mm x 57.1 mm in dimensions and runs 12.7 mm deep. Unlike the usual touchscreen mobiles, the display screen does not occupy the entire frame, but again is more inclined to be a Nokia mobile again featuring a 3.5” LCD capacitive touchscreen. You can call the Nokia 603 a heavy weight among the Nokia mobiles weighing 109.6 g, another big plus being perfect in almost every aspect. Looking at the greener side of the phone, the Nokia 603 comes with a dedicated mic with noise cancellation, filtering the noise out, relaying only the callers voice that is meant to be heard, to the other party.
A 5 MP camera is again decent enough with the a picture resolution of 2592 x 1944p, but falls slightly short in comparison with its phone equivalent, the Nokia 701 which has an 8 MP shooter aboard. You can even shoot a good quality video of 720p at 30fps to capture your kid's day-long activities and tuck it away to view later, in a way to memorize those wonderful moments that never come back. In the times as this, when video chatting has become almost a norm, the absence of a front camera is more felt than not.
Entertainment is exemplary on the Nokia 603 with an exclusive MP4 player combined with the Dolby Digital Plus effect that makes it more impressive. However, the later comes as a bonus for only those who have updated their software to the Symbian Belle Feature Pack 1. Battery again is pretty alright offering 7 hours talk-time, though by no means up to the standards of the Nokia 701 battery that offers a non-stop 17 hrs of back up.
