Motorola Defy Mini XT320 is a low end version of the original Motorola Defy smartphone and is thus an entry level smartphone in the same series. This device has a compact and sturdy design and comes with a body which makes the handset dust free, scratch resistant and splash proof. The long lasting battery allows the user to have full enjoyment of a smartphone handset and the decent rear camera enables you to have good images along with video recording. The another attraction of Motorola Defy Mini XT320 is that it boasts a front facing camera that enables the user to have full live video chatting with family and friends whenever and wherever they want to. It is a single SIM device that supports GSM network only and has variety of features that are capable of bringing smile on the face of its users. However this phone doesn’t have the latest v4.0 Ice cream sandwich Android but has the latest of all the Android operating system in any of Motorola smartphone range series phones. This smartphone has many additional features such as it support messaging SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, IM, and Push Email that helps you to stay connected with your friend circle and it also has an inbuilt HTML browser and comes with many inbuilt games.
Motorola Defy Mini XT320 comes with inbuilt GPRS and EDGE support and has also a Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot support along with inbuilt Bluetooth. It also supports 3G network for HSDPA and HSUPA. This smartphone comes in a size of 109 mm x 58.5 mm x 12.6 mm and weighs 107 grams only. It has got a very wide TFT capacitive touchscreen of 3.2 inches along with the screen resolution of 320 x 480 pixels with 256K colors and the screen is made up of Corning Gorilla Glass that provides toughness to the screen. This smartphone has an internal memory of 512 MB ROM and RAM along with a microSD card slot that helps in increasing external memory up to 32 GB. it is blessed with a 3.2 MP camera with LED Flash that provides a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels with Geo-tagging feature and can record full VGA video. It supports various audio and video formats along with connectivity to FM radio with RDS technology and has a 3.5 mm jack. The standard Li-Ion 1,650 battery allows talktime up to 10 hours and standby time of 504 hours.
Motorola Defy Mini XT320 is a nice handset which is loaded with some amazing features and applications that is running on Android v.2.3.6 Gingerbread and is powered by 600 MHz processor that provides good processing speed to the device.
Overall Review
Motorola has not been the most popular brands although it was a reputed name in the market about 10 years ago. Since then Nokia has managed to stay in the game while we have all seen Samsung's growth in the market. Motorola Defy Mini XT320 released in the early part of the year and is a smaller version of Motorola Defy. But unlike what the name suggests, Motorola Defy Mini XT320 is not all that small as compared to Motorola Defy with the former featuring a 3.2 inch screen while the latter 3.7. Motorola Defy Mini XT320 is a sturdy device with a robust built that can take some hits without getting damaged. It is also water proof and as its name suggests, will defy most damaging encounters. The device is dust and water resistant while its screen is protected by the corning gorilla glass technology. 3.15 megapixel camera is pretty well backed by the resolution of 2048 by 1536 pixels. A secondary VGA camera is there too along with a microSD cards slot for memory expansion. Where the device falls behind is the operating system. With the Jelly Bean operating system already out, the device does not even feature the Ice cream sandwich operating system which is a big letdown. Motorola Defy Mini XT320 comes with the Android Gingerbread operating system but has no integration with any social networking sites. But apart from that the device is value for money in terms of sustainability.
User Interface and UI functionality
Motorola Defy Mini XT320 comes with a 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen that gives a 256k colors along with a resolution of 320 by 480 pixels and works at a pixel density of 180 ppi. The screen is protected by the corning gorilla glass technology and the device as a whole is water resistant while the screen can be interacted with through the touch sensitive controls.

Motorola Defy Mini XT320 has a music player that makes sure that the user can listen to the popular songs while video player gives the user access to videos. All in all the performance of the device is pretty good with quality sound. The music player is compatible with the formats MP3, WAV, WMA and AAC+ player while the video player supports MP4, WMV, H.263 and H.264 player. Radio FM is also provided so that all the popular radio stations can be accessed.

The 512 MB RAM is also pretty decent but not anything spectacular as by now we are used to a 1GB RAM capacity in most of the devices.
