After successful launch of huge brigade of mobile phones in Indian mobile market Micromax started naming its mobile phones based on alphabets and after successful launch of Micromax A70, Micromax has now came up with its new phone which unlike its alphabetical distance from A is also technically wide ahead from its predecessor. This infant from Micromax is Micromax X78 which is a  dual SIM GSM phone. Micromax X78 is a slider light weight phone with TFT touchsreen display supporting wide picture resolution followed by QWERTY keypad. The most impressive feature about Micromax X78 is that it adorns camera of 3.2 mega pixel supported by features like LED flash and digital zoom. These features not only capture photos similar to some high profiled camera and capture them to the closest point of required area. Like various smartphones Micromax X78 also adorns inbuilt memory followed by external memory card slot which can store MicroSD flash card expandable upto 8 GB enabling the user to store huge volume of data on his mobile. Besides this, based on the same platform as introduced in high profiled phones Micromax X78 is also embedded with built in Opera Mini, WAP 2.0 browser that allows user to access not only his mails but also allows him to get connected with various websites for downloading data including connectivity with social networking websites like Facebook, Orkut etc which are highly visited websites by the youth users. In this way, Micromax X78 is going to be a boon for the youth users who prefer to visit these social websites as the best place to get connected with their huge friend circle via these websites. 

Overall Review

Micromax X78 is an extremely stylish and affordable phone that may not be the smartest but certainly an eye catcher. This phone deserves applaud for having assimilated several goodies inside. First and foremost is its bar form factor, touch and type slider design that makes it truly appealing. Its resistive touch screen of 2.8 inches displays stuff in very fine resolution and makes viewing of multimedia data quite enthralling. Otherwise, the objective of giving it a 3.2 megapixels camera would have absolutely crashed. The camera of Micromax X78 is one of its best features and clicks images of unblemished quality. It detects smile, face, blink and can take multiple shots in one go. The resolution of the pictures is good enough at 2048 x 1536 pixels.

The internal memory of the phone has not been specified but the makers ensures assimilation of 1500 phonebook entries and 500+ messages inside this handset, which is quite sufficient. An external memory support to up to 8 GB via micro SD card can be achieved. The phone is a dual SIM handset and uses GSM/GPRS network for running its operations.  High end connectivity features including Wi Fi support adds to its already star studded specs list. It is more likeable for the device is fairly cheap. In nutshell, Micromax X78 is here to establish that domestic makers have done enough market search and have come with something very befitting in the current Indian market scenario. The touch and type slider dual SIM phone is speculated to be well received by people.
