It seems that the whole mobile market is full of dual SIM functionality phones due to the increasing demand from the customers side. Micromax A78 is a dual SIM smartphone running on Android operating system which is a low-end handset speciqally designed for the mid-ranging users in contemplation of widening the customer base. This smartphone is branded as Superfone Gossip in Micromax's Superfone series which is a touch and type phone with QWERTY keypad thus giving a wide experience to the user. Micromax A78 has Android v.2.3 Gingerbread as an OS and is powered by 650 MHz processor with a 1,300 Li-Ion standard battery which provide quite a long standby time to this smartphone.

Micromax A78 has a 3.5 inch TFT display which is quite big as compared to other touch and type phones available on the shelves. The screen of this Superfone is a capacitive touch screen displaying a resolution of 480 x 360 pixels with 2,62,144 colors. The rear camera is 3 MP with LED flash that helps the user to click clear photos even when the light is DIM. The primary camera gives a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels with zoom and auto focus features.
