Micromax A73 comes with the dimensions of 108 mm X 62 mm X 12 mm and has touch sensitive controls. As expected, the device also comes with the dual-SIM facility, a trait that is common with most Micromax phones. Talking about its display, the device comes with a TFT touchscreen and gives 256K colours. The screen has a decent size of 3.5 inch and gives a resolution of 360 X 480 pixels along with a pixel density of 171 ppi. Its screen is also supported by various sensors like accelerometer sensor and compass sensor.
One of the more appreciated features of the handset is the fact that it supports 3G and 2G technology. The 2G network works at a frequency of 850/900/1800/1900 and the 3G network at HSDPA. Taking its multimedia features into consideration, Micromax A73 allows the user to listen to their favorite music supported by the MP3, WAV, WMA and AAC format. The music can be heard through the loud speakers or through earphones that can be attached to the device through a standard 3.5 mm jack. FM radio facilities are also available that allows the user to listen to the current popular radio stations. The device allows you to watch various videos in various formats like MP4 and H.263. The internet facility also allows you to download videos of your own choice or watch them on YouTube.
The device also offers substantial amount of storage capacity with the internal memory of 50 MB along with 256 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM that allows the user to access the resources of the system more efficiently and at a faster pace. It also facilitates a microSD card that allows the user to expand the memory upto a massive 32 GB. The memory expansion facility will come in handy for those who love to keep their complete collection of music with them. The data connectivity features include GPRS and EDGE technology along with the wireless LAN with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n backed by the Wi-Fi hotspot. The bluetooth version 3.0 feature allows the user to exchange data with other devices and the data may include music files, video files or files in some other document like text files. The USB port allows the user to transfer data to or from the PC as per their convenience.
The camera is packed with the strength of 2 megapixel that allows the user to click pictures with ease while the LED flash makes sure that your pictures are never too dull. Along with the camera, a secondary VGA camera is also facilitated that gives the option of recording videos. The device comes backed by the operating system of Android 2.3 Gingerbread powered by a 650 MHz processor.

Micromax A73 with the Android platform is another sibling in the superfone series designed and manufactured by the Indian manufacturer, Micromax. The device has fully touch screen with only three hardware buttons at the bottom. The superfone series by Micromax is doing a good business in the smartphone market and with the latest bundle of applications and features it will rule the lower class and the middle class segments of the smartphones. This new beast is designed as per the increasing 'Social' demands amongst the new age youths. Now a days, social networking sites have become an un-detachable part of our lives and in order to remain socially active we rely on our smartphones. So basically Micromax A73 is a nice and compact sized medium that will help you in staying connected with your family members and friends. It comes loaded with various social applications like Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo Messenger, YouTube, Whats app, TOI, Quiker, Saavn music app, Polaris Office Suite, Ibibo Cricardo, Ibibo Teenpatti, and many more. All such wonderful things in a very small sized gadget, that is, Micromax A73 that has 108mm x 62mm x 12mm of dimensions. The phone is also very light in weight and you can easily carry this droid wherever you go.
Micromax A73 has very touch sensitive capacitive display in front that brings a real life effect to the screen. Below this touch screen you will find three hardware keys for Menu, Home and Back along with a logo of Micromax. On top of this screen you will find the Gravity and the Ambient light sensors along with the secondary VGA camera. The Gravity sensor changes the screen mode from portrait to landscape and vice versa based on the orientation of this device whereas the Ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen as per the light conditions in the ambiance. The right side of the device has the USB port that also acts as a charging port. Along with this microUSB port you will also find a volume rocker. The left side is kept bare and no hardware key or slot is provided there. The 3.5mm universal headphone jack is placed at the bottom along with the lanyard eyelet and the mouth piece is housed in front below the hardware keys. On top, a power/lock button is placed. The back panel of this device has the 2 megapixels camera sensor along with the LED flash support. At the bottom of the rear cover you will find the logo of Micromax along with a loudspeaker grill. Under the cover, there is a very powerful battery and you can also locate two microSIM card slots with a memory card slot.
The front-panel of this mobile phone is occupied by a large capacitive touch based screen that leaves little space to accommodate the secondary camera on the top and Android shortcut keys on the bottom.
