Micromax A70 is a smartphone launched in July 2011, which apparently makes into the top 25 most searched phones on the internet according to a survey. Micromax A70 is a capacitive touchscreen smartphone with 13.5 mm in thickness and weighs about just 85 g. The price is also most competitively placed at around Rs 7,889, which makes it more of a low-priced phone. The Android based smartphone sports the candy-bar design offered in single black color.
The Micromax A70 features a 3.2” capacitive TFT touchscreen with 320x480 p resolution that runs on the Android 2.2 Froyo OS. The 5MP camera is aboard the rear of the phone with the features like autofocus and a resolution of 2592 x 1944 p for decent picture quality, though not something to boast about due to its compressed pixel format. A 600 MHz processor is affixed under the hood and a 160 MB of internal storage is available, which is extendable to 32 GB through the microSD. This handset is the successor of Micromax Andro A60 but when comes to comparison, Micromax A70 comes with a better screen resolution, higher megapixels camera, powerful processor and upgraded operating system. The body of this handset will reminds you of HTC Desire, excluding the silver banding on the edges. There is a small navigational circular hardware button at the bottom of the capacitive touch sensitive screen. This smartphone runs on the very old and outdated Android v.2.2 Froyo operating system and brings in Wi-Fi tethering and easy notification bar access to wireless radios. A powerful processor that beats at the rate of 600 MHz powers Micromax A70, which allows it to handle much of the applications devoid of any noticeable lag.
