LG, overall has done well as it is India's largest consumer durables company. But the company has struggled badly in terms of the sales in the cell phone market and has only a small market share. The company is trying to revamp their strategies in order to boost their positions. Many of their high profile devices are pretty formidable even though they have not exactly translated into success. LG Optimus 2X is another prime example of the same with the device featuring a 4 inch screen that comes backed by the IPS LCD touchscreen technology. The device has the dimensions 123.9mm x 63.2mm x 10.9mm and weighs 139 grams. The device has an 8GB internal memory, which is more or at least at par with what most high profile devices are offering. There is a microSD card slot for memory expansion too but the RAM is where the company could have sought after as, it is 512MB only, which is not mind boggling. 1GB of RAM would have really made the device stand out.

Camera though is well looked after, unlike the RAM department, with an 8 megapixel sensor primary snapper that lets the user click pictures at a resolution of 3264 by 2448 pixels. Another secondary camera is also there, located at the front of the device, which works with a strength of 1.2 megapixels and lets the user to do video chats over the web. Speaking of web, the Internet facilities are powered by the Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, etc. that gives the swift access to YouTube, Facebook and other popular web sites. The device has the Android Froyo operating system but the same can be upgraded to Ice Cream sandwich although access to Jelly bean is still not available. Social networking Integration is also available with the LG Optimus 2X. Finally the device is available in black color and is powered through the standard lithium ion battery of 1,500 mAh that gives a decent amount of talk time and standby time and allows the user to operate on the device for long hors without his or her entertainment being cut short.
