A tri-SIM phone! Thats the catch of this phone, but is not capable of winning accolades for its specifications and features. This is unique just for falling in the triple-SIM phones segment. So far even this is good because this segment is primarily and largely dominated by budget phone manufacturers like Zen Mobile, Intex and Micromax only.  Korean giant LG treading this path clearly depicts the changing market scenario and significance of the still evolving multiple SIM mobile phone segment. LG phone entering the fray is dubbed as LG A290.
 
LG A290 is the triple SIM mobile phone that will sport a 2.2-inch display. The candy-bar shaped phone is sleek as revealed by its physical measurements but that doesn’t guarantee that it looks the most smart and stylish. Since this is not enough to charm the buyers looking for a phone with which they could make a style statement, it is inferred that LG A290 isn’t capable of impressing by its looks due to its simple design and form factor. Even other features of LG A290 are just about average. There is just a 1.3 megapixels camera with flashlight in this device. It is hardly capable of clicking good stills due to poor pixel count and lack of camera features. There is just a bare minimum battery life of this phone as LG A290 just has a 1500 mAh capacity battery fitted inside. There are no words on the memory of the phone and we also have no idea of its multimedia and connectivity features.
 
Nevertheless, existence of a third SIM slot definitely is a novel aspect in case of LG A290 and its low price also goes in its favor. The three SIM slots of LG A290 are most likely to be working on GSM network connection only and that is subjected to change as officially all the specification details of the device are not yet revealed. Currently, LG A290 is going to hit the Russian market but eventually it is going to make to other Asian markets and elsewhere as well. The most probable reason for this is that there is notable demand for dual-SIM phones in these markets, particularly India. Many indigenous mobile brands in India like Micromax are already selling their dual SIM phones with success. Nokia and Samsung are among the international mobile brands selling such phones here and there is immense scope for more entrants. Considering the increasing demand for multi-SIM phones in India, LG may bring its LG A290 here very soon.
