HTC Inspire is the first smartphone by HTC which is branded as 4G and is a variant of HTC Desire HD  and shares almost the same design and specifications except that Inspire 4G provides support to 4G network via selected service providers. It is an affordable smartphone with a large display and HTC Sense UI which brings in amazing users' experience with the device and makes them to boast about their amazing handset. Following the footsteps of HTC Evo 4G and HTC HD7, this smartphone measures 122.9 mm x 68.1 mm x 11.7 mm and weighs 163.9 grams and like its siblings, HTC Inspire is mostly well built and feels solid in hand. It has got a sleek, unibody design and sports a metal alloy finish for a sophisticated look with substantial feel. The former can be slipped off to access the SIM and memory card slots, while the latter provides access to the battery. The front of the Inspire 4G features a thin earpiece along the top, with notification light at left and accelerometer sensor at right. Below the touchscreen, one can find standard Android shortcuts for home, menu, back, and search which shines brilliantly due to backlighting but in some cases the user might experience an accidental press with these Android capacitive touch buttons. Compare

HTC Inspire is a good features smartphone which has large bright display with great viewing angles, fantastic build quality, metal frame, rubberized plastic battery/card covers, and very solid feel overall, great battery life and comes with a snappy performance where homescreens swipe smoothly with a slight touch. But it has some negative sides also as the dedicated buttons are placed weirdly, has huge camera lens, data speed is not so good and the storage capacity is not that much superb. With all such positive and negative sides, this smartphone faces strong competition from Samsung Galaxy S II, Motorola Atrix 2, LG Thrill 4G, HTC Vivid, Apple iPhone 4S and more.
