HTC HD7 Review

HTC HD7 has been so designed that the users can put on a real show, with a 4.3-inch high resolution screen, Xbox LIVE gaming capabilities and a crisper HD camcorder, it makes an impressive handhold entertainment experience. This smartphone is a center of attraction with applications such as HTC Hub which incorporates the weather in rich 3D and offers a selection of more applications specifically designed to optimize the users HTC smartphone experience. The user can enhance their photos with one touch by using the auto enhance preset to adjust color and brightness for the perfect picture and the Flashlight application turns the phone into an LED flashlight with 3 brightness levels and it even flashes an SOS signal in case of emergency. This device runs on Windows Phone operating system and is the successor of HTC HD2. The main area of interaction is the Home screen, activated by hitting the main Windows button and the homescreen is customizable according to the preference and need of the user.

HTC HD7 comes in a size of 122 mm x 68 mm x 11.2 mm and carries a weight of 162 grams only. The large 4.3 inches LCD display comes with a capacitive touchscreen which is made up of Corning Gorilla Glass to make it scratch resistant. This amazing screen provides a a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels along with a color depth of 16M. This device has Dolby Mobile and SRS sound enhancement to increase the multimedia experience of the user and has 3.5 mm jack to increase the enhansability of the device and to allow the user to attach the device to speakers or woofers. It holds an internal memory of 16 GB with 512 MB ROM and 576 MB RAM but has no microSD card slot to increase the external memory. The user can have connectivity options such as EDGE, GPRS, 3G, Wi-Fi, WLAN, Bluetooth and USB port along with FM radio with RDS technology. This smartphone is blessed with a 5 MP auto focus camera with LED flash which provides a resolution of 2592 х 1944 pixels and can capture full HD 720p video and there is no secondary camera. HTC HD7 runs on Microsoft Windows Phone 7 OS and is embedded with Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon and is powered by 1 GHz Scorpion processor to have good processing speed. The standard Li-Ion 1,230 mAh battery can keep the device alive up to 5 hours 20 minutes of talktime and a standby time up to 310 hours with a long hour of music playback. HTC HD7 is a good handset but lacks HTC Sense UI which can add more usability and features to this smartphone.
