BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9981 is driven to offer you the performance you demand, the power you need and the style you wear. Drafted by Porsche Design, sculpted in stainless steel, finished in leather, light weight like a pen, produced by RIM and powered by BlackBerry, the Porsche Design P’9981 smartphone is epitome of luxury.
With a 2.8-inch full touchscreen TFT display, the smartphone adorns a futuristic QWERTY keyboard formerly known as the BlackBerry Knight. Porsche works with GSM as well as HSDPA , UMTS, HSUPA technologies. The model is made special with an exclusive Porsche Design UI and a Wikitude World Browser augmented reality app. The phone comes with second-generation WebKit browser.
Design of BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9981 follows the motif of BlackBerry Bold 9900 but with few tricky changes with the aerial system and few others. The keyboard comes from the same casting steel frame as the phone is crafted from a single block of metal making it a robust handset. That keyboard of the smartphone is just as good as all the BB QWERTY keyboards and while it runs BlackBerry OS 7 RIM has allowed Porsche to frame the OS so as to create a new set of icons to go exclusively with the hardware design.

Of course, with the storage expansion capacity through the hot swappable microSD card slot up to 40GB. The candy bar smartphone features a handsome 5 mega pixel camera with LED, Digital zoom and geo-tagging features. It also serves as a video camera with 720 p HD clarity making it a good camcorder. The capacitative multi touch screen with fast fluid animation and instant responses from the liquid graphics on the high resolution display makes photography and video recording an unforgettable experience. People can go musical with inbuilt audio and video player.
New features and innovative apps like Wikitude opportunes more dynamic ways to interact and get connected with the world. Near Field Communication (NFC) availability ensures easy connection with other NFC-enabled devices and smart tags making life convenient. Connectivity is offered through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G options. The P'9981 model gets a premium PIN that allows the user of the device to find another P'9981 user in a crowd. In collaboration with RIM, Porsche design has unveiled the limited edition BalckBerry phone we refer to as BlackBerry Porsche Design P9981. Research In Motion (RIM), the Canadian company is popular for unleashing addictive business devices upon the world and has combined it with such a posh design that has made the co-branded "Porsche Design P'9981 smartphone” absolutely irresistible. Blackberry Porsche Design P'9981 smartphone is a fine example of engineered luxury with power packed performance.
While just like Porsche (the super car), BlackBerry is a super smart phone. It is the favorite communication tool of businesspeople worldwide and is more about function than form. Porsche Design has just added to its oomph factor. It is not at all like any other BlackBerry device as it has a complete stainless steel casing and leather back. It runs the most advanced BlackBerry operating system version 7.0 with power of a 1.2 GHz single core processor. The elegant handset sports a 2.8 inch VGA touch display, QWERTY keypad and its very slim (11.3 mm). All its specifications are fantastic. It boasts HD video recording capabilities, 8 GB of onboard memory, a microSD expansion slot, Liquid Graphics technology and an inbuilt NFC module. It is expected that some units of this phone will also arrive in India as and when it launches. It may launch in the end of this year as the official wraps are off. It could be fetched from any of the Porsche Design stores and we assume that its price would be stratospheric though there is also no word on its price officially. A personal concierge service is included with the P'9981 retail package. It is, after all, a premium quality designer smartphone.

RIM and Porsche have just taken the official wraps off of the Porsche Design P'9981 and it has been revealed that this awfully beautiful designer BlackBerry phone has an exclusive Porsche Design UI. It also has a sculpted QWERTY keyboard and "crystal clear touch display” of 2.8 inch size. It also features Liquid Graphics technology, which delivers a highly responsive touch experience with incredibly fast and smooth graphics.
