BlackBerry Curve 8530 comes powered by the BlackBerry 5.0 operating system backed by the 528 MHz processor. The device has a 2.46 inch screen that gives a resolution of 1600 X 1200 pixels along with 65k colours and works at a pixel density of 163 ppi. The device can be interacted with through the QWERRTY keypad and the touch-sensitive optical trackpad. There is a music player that makes sure that the user gets to hear the latest musical tracks that the entertainment world has to offer. The video player lets the user watch videos of his/her choice. The music can be heard by the user through the loudspeakers or through the earphones that can be attached to the device with the help of a 3.5 mm jack. The music player is compatible with the formats MP3/eAAC+/WMA/WAV while the video player supports MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV. The device comes with a microSD card slot that makes sure that the user gets to keep a large collection of data including videos, games, songs and images. The user can then expand the memory of the device up to 32 GB. The Bluetooth facility lets the user connect the device with other devices and transfer data to that device or receive data from it.
