What are 3G mobile phones?
3G mobile phones are those that feature mobile phone and mobile telecommunication services like voice telephone, mobile internet access, video calls and mobile TV's all available in a mobile atmosphere.
The first appearance of the 3G enabled mobile came in the year 2008 on December 11, introduced by MTNL in Delhi and then in Mumbai. After the ball was set rolling by MTNL, BSNL cashed in, and launched its 3G services on 22 FEB 2009 in Chennai. Then April 2010 saw the first auction of 3G wireless spectrum which was finally allocated to all the private operators on 1 September 2010.
